Venture of the Year Award Nominations

In order to highlight successful entrepreneurial activity in Northeast Ohio, the Ohio Venture Association will award its inaugural Venture of the Year award on Friday, June 13th. Nominations for this award are being sought until Friday, April 11th, 2008.

Potential candidates for the award would include:

• Founder(s)/CEO of an investor-backed company that had an exit in the past 18 months
• Entrepreneur(s) that has successfully grown and exited a business without investor backing in the past 18 months
• Founder(s)/CEO of a investor-backed start-up that has demonstrated rapid growth and is well positioned for an IPO or exit
• An entrepreneur that had the vision to step aside and bring in professional management to take the company to the next level

The winning Venture will be selected by the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Venture Association.

To nominate a Venture of the Year candidate, please submit no more than one typed page describing the nominee and the qualifying venture. Nomination forms should include:

• Name of nominated company
• Founder(s) or entrepreneur’s name
• History of the venture
• What qualifies the nominee to be considered the Venture of the Year
• Professional advisors
• Name of person making the nomination (self-nominations are welcome)
